Changes to the Working Holiday Visa have been implemented. From 31 August 2015, all applicants for a second year Working Holiday visa must provide pay slips as evidence of appropriate remuneration with their application. Volunteer work no longer qualifies as eligible work for a second year visa.
Temporary transitional arrangements have been put in place by the government in acknowledgement that some participants may have been in the middle of work placements.
